How do I book my adventure?
Booking your Himalayan adventure is as simple as confirming travel dates and paying your 50% deposit! Our professional staff will guide you through the booking process including securing necessary documents and permits for each trek.
When are payments due?
A 50% non-refundable deposit is required at time of booking to confirm your adventure.
Deposit payments should be made via Bank Transfer to MCATT accounts in Nepal. All service charges will be paid by client at the time of payment. MCATT staff will send bank information and instructions directly to client when payments are due.
Upon payment completion, please forward a copy of the transfer details to [email protected] so we can successfully claim the transfer on our end.
All remaining balances are due upon arrival in Kathmandu, before adventure begins. Final payments can be made via USD, Nepali Rupee or credit card. Please note that credit card fees will be applied.
What if I need to cancel or modify my reservation?
We are happy to work with you to make any necessary trip modifications.
No refund will be made for deposits paid in the event the trip is cancelled. If full pre-payment has been made, you will be refunded, minus the required 50% deposit. Written notification of your cancellation should be made to cancel any trip. No refunds will be issued after adventure begins for clients who opt out from the journey for any reason.
If MCATT is forced to cancel your trip because of unforeseen circumstances such as war, natural disasters, conflict, unfavorable climate etc., we will be happy to refer you to an alternate trip of similar standard. If the replaced trip is unacceptable to the client, all money paid to MCATT will be refunded (other expenses incurred because of this booking are entirely your responsibility).
How can I best train for my trek?
We strongly urge you to begin training for your trek several months before travel. Even if you walk regularly and have a good level of fitness, you will still need to train for this type of long-distance walking at higher altitudes. A few suggestions we have include:
- Make leg based cardio part of your fitness routine.
- Take the stairs every chance you get!
- Mix up your training terrain.
- Walk in all types of weather.
- Try using walking poles.
- When possible, train with your team!
Will I need to bring my own trekking gear?
We offer a limited supply of trekking gear for customers requiring rental services. Please be sure to let us know if you would like a quote for gear rental so we can reserve needed items for you ahead of your arrival in country. Our quantity of each item is limited, so be sure to check availability of gear prior to packing for your adventure! Items we currently have for rent include:
- Trekking Poles
